I work at two radio stations and have recorded numerous Public Service Announcements. They have included church revivals, community events, coat drives, and charity events. I have worked to promote a specific college scholarship which would help historically black college and university students pay for radio engineering education.

I have a podcast that features my original poetry and memoirs. I’m in the process of getting them all recorded for public enjoyment, but it’s a long process because I’ve written a lot of material, available in three books that are for sale online. For my non-work related projects, I have an account with a website that provides music that can be used as background for audio recordings, so my poetry and stories have mood music throughout, as well as sound effects where appropriate.

I have access to Audacity. This is the main software that I use. I also use a Blue Yeti Professional Blackout microphone for recording. I record in a padded environment to minimize reverb.

My purpose for joining Volunteer Voiceover is to do commercials and promotions that benefit people in a tangible way. I need my voiceover to have an ongoing positive impact on less fortunate people. That’s why I’d like to partner with nonprofits.
